The strategic planning process for Gente Positiva was developed in the month of September, 2001 in Guatemala City in the Association's facilities.

The Association states that one of the principal goals of Association is to benefit individuals living with HIV/AIDS of different sexual orientations.

The Strategic Plan spans a period of three years, from January 2002 to December 2004. The development of annual operational plans and their respective evaluations, which will allow for adjustments to the Plan year by year, will be necessary for its successful implementation.

The efforts of all that participated in the development of the Plan generated a useful product that allows the Association to increase its quality, both in terms of its institutional development and the impact of its daily work, as long as the Strategic Plan is adopted and institutionalized as a work tool.
